Darin Manica
Darin Manica recently joined the piano faculty at Colorado State University where he teaches and is an active performer.
His primary musical interests lie in the resurgence of The Golden Age of the Piano, with a particular fascination of
virtuoso transcriptions. This is apparent by his dedicated support and frequent performances of these works.
Mr. Manica is a prize winner in several competitions including: Middle Tennessee Symphony concerto competition and the
Nancy Clark piano competition. He holds degrees from the University of Kansas City at Missouri and University of Colorado.
Teachers include Richard Cass and Alvin Chow as well as masterclass appearances with Emanuel Ax, Stephen Hough, and
Monique Duphil. A chamber musician at heart, Mr. Manica frequently performs in various ensembles. Of particular note
is a duo with his wife, Susie Manica, in which they perform the early 20th Century cabaret music of Gershwin, Porter, and Kern.
